shouts gives event hosts and their crowds a way to talk to each other in real time, anonymously. By using the product you agree to these terms.

You need an account to host a room. Joining a room is anonymous and account-free. You’re responsible for keeping your password and admin password secret.

You own what you write. By posting in a room you grant the host a non-exclusive licence to display it for the duration of the event. We don’t use posts to train AI models. Hosts and our automated moderation can remove posts that break the law or our acceptable-use rules (harassment, spam, hate, threats, sexual content involving minors, doxxing).

As a host you’re responsible for what happens in your room: who you invite, what they post, and how you moderate it. You agree not to use shouts for illegal activity, targeted harassment, or commercial spam. Rooms have a maximum active window of 24 hours, after which they are automatically closed and expired to keep our server resources balanced. shouts is currently free to use.

We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee it. Rooms are ephemeral by design — message history may be deleted at any time. Under our data fair-use policy, photos, thumbnails, and uploaded media are permanently purged 10 days after room expiry or closure. High-frequency automated spamming or bot interactions that compromise service quality for other active crowds may lead to rate-limiting or room termination.

We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms. You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard; deleting your account closes the rooms you created and removes their content.

shouts is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged on the dashboard before they take effect.
